Mediation & Arbitration
I have been a family law mediator since 1985. The mediator is a trained facilitator to work out the matters with the clients who are able to have their own lawyers assist them, if that is their choice as the mediator cannot give independent legal advice.
The new family law act contemplates that a family law arbitrator will be available to assist people who need a decision rendered outside the court system. I have recently completed an arbitration proceedings course through the British Columbia arbitration and mediation institute.
I share space with the law firm of Straith and company, founded in 1939. The five members of the firm are experienced, credible and caring professionals who can render assistance in the areas of wills and estates,corporate/small business, conveyances and estates litigation.
